Feeling low

so I will post about things that are high... this is a sun that has been carved into a mountain. It was a short hike that my cool uncle Dik took us on.

this is the moon that is also carved... not so far away. notice the "bloody" hand print in the lower left corner of the picture.... I believe this to be graffiti... punk ass kids.

this is one of my new found favorite places. I recently spent a week-end at Lake Powell, lets just say I loved it. I need the sun on my skin. I felt good... I wish I could get that feeling back.

dog days of summer

I looked out the window and saw our dog cuddling with a stuffed animal... what a life!! Laying on
the back porch with nothing better to do than cuddle up with a nice friend.

I tried to sneak around the house to catch a better picture, but she heard me.... she wasn't very awake when I took this one... but she did catch me.

a son is born

This is my new nephew Max.... he has a c-pap on to help him breath. What a life this little one will have. Welcome to the world!

summer time rolls...

AHH summer!! I cant wait to get into a great blog habit!
a few things that I have been up to.... schools over for the summer!! WOO HOO!
no more looking thru microscopes... at least for a little while. I am really loving being in school, although my life is very hectic... it is good and I am learning a lot. I just hope that my grades reflect all the hard work and studying I did this semester.

My little peanut is graduating from high school... I am so proud of her, but it is hard for me to see her acting so grown up. I am going to miss having her around, as I am sure she will be moving on to bigger and better things.
I went camping out in the desert to change the pace of life.... it rained.... a LOT!! but it was a nice way to spend a couple of days... good food, friends and fun. This is our trailer and one of the coolest kids I have ever known. I taught him to say marshmellooo ... I think he has decided that is my name. I like playing aunt to him, I think this is what it might be like to be a grandma.... not that I am ready for that!! He is fun to play with, very mature for his young age, but needs a sibling (hint hint)

this summer will be filled with many adventures, all that I will share.... photos included.

school daze

I have been in school for a couple of years now, I think its time for a break. I am really enjoying taking classes, but even my photography class is hard for me to get to. I wish there was an easy fix.

First post... hold onto your hats, this might get bumpy

Ok... I feel like I am getting in late in the game, but I have some thoughts and feelings I would like to share.
This picture represents my happy place. I need to go there often for balance.

I want to say that some peoples blogs scare me. I have a few friends that blog all the time and some of the postings make me hesitant to talk to them. I started this blog with the hope to make people think about the world.. and the other people in it.

The Frozen world around me, not my favorite.
I am taking a Photography class in an effort to balance my life and unfortunately I took a class that is very technical, not artistic at all. So I learn about how to make my camera give me the results that I want.... DUH.... for me part of the fun of film photography is seeing what the camera sees. This picture was taken out of a moving car window... it is titled Frozen Winnemucca. (I bet you can guess where we took it)

I enjoy a lot of different things... but my friends and family are really the best part of my life. My daughter is about to graduate from high school... SCARY! I miss her four year old self, her 10 year old self. I hope that she will stay as close to me as she is right now... I am so proud of her.

Well, that's all for the first post, let me know what you think..
